What is happening?
A passenger reluctant to leave is affecting services departing this station.
The passenger has indicated an intention to depart on several occasions this evening, and has on each occasion sat back down. Station staff are monitoring the situation and have described it as “comfortable”.
What does this mean for my journey?
- Services departing Eltham may be delayed by several hours, or may not depart at all.
- Departures are being held at the discretion of the passenger.
- Customers are advised to allow additional time, and then further additional time.
- Rail replacement bus services will not be provided, as the passenger has expressed a preference for staying exactly where they are.
How long will it last?
Disruption is expected to continue until further notice.
Next review of this disruption: indefinite, subject to feelings.
Engineers have attended and confirmed there is no technical fault. The passenger simply does not want to go.
Compensation
Delay Repay is payable in kind. Eligible claims include:
- dinner;
- a film of the claimant’s choosing;
- one (1) uninterrupted rant about rolling stock.
Claims must be submitted in person at Eltham. Claims submitted by post will be returned unread.
